Surviving

In the midst of the grind. Was a little disappointed with the Survivor results. I was hoping that Steph was going to be able to pull it out. The turning point was when they voted out Judd. If they'd got rid of Lydia instead, Danni would have still been on the block. I think getting rid of Cindy was a mistake as well.

As for The Apprentice,I'm going to have to tape it and watch it the next day (as I did for the Survivor finale). At any rate, I think Rebecca may win this one. Randal just seems to be making too many critical mistakes.

The Joe Piscopo cancellation is rather reminiscent of the Chris Webber one two seasons ago, so we'll have to see how Rebecca deals with that. Though, Randal is also having to deal with rain. It should still be a close one (this is the first time in a while when you haven't been able to call the winner before the tasks were even assigned).

You taped Survivor and watched it the day after? You should have watched it with Catrin and me.

In any event, I would have been happy with any of the final four except Danni (yes, even Lydia) winning. I just didn't like her, and thought that Steph/Rafe should have voted her off instead of Lydia, who clearly wouldn't have won the next immunity.

Well, I was studying for a final that night, so watching it with you and Catrin wouldn't have made as much sense.

What I found most intersting about Lydia was that she had the audacity to ask both Steph and Danni why they kicked her off.

No, Kyle- Steve and I were doing the same thing- we were watching it the day after, taped, because I also had a final on Monday. But I agree: Steph should have won. She was the best player. Unfortunately, what with the jury system, it inevitably ends up with the worse of the two players winning. Damn popularity contest.

Oh, look who's suddenly talking about what's "inevitable" after seeing all of one season. Well, what about the time that Tom beat Katie in the final two? Or when Sandra beat Lill? Or when Brian beat Clay? Or, of course, when Richard beat Kelly?

There are *plenty* of examples of the worthier candidate winning at the jury.
